Schwob provides design build construction, industrial and camp services for a number of oil field companies around the world, for example during the last four years we’ve constructed about ninety percent of Halliburton’s PSL and Field Camp facilities throughout the United States along with facilities within Mexico. We presently reside in Iraq as a general contractor and our industrial side provides industrial plants, pipeline support teams, supplies and fabrication services for the oil field companies including ExxonMobil, Nabors Drilling, and Halliburton. Schwob has a strategic partnership with Maraby Al-Iraq Al-Khadra'A Co. who is well respected in southern Iraq.
The Basra Industrial Community project supplies housing, office, shop, fabrication, industrial and storage space for any number of companies requiring quick and easy access to the Rumalia and West Qurnah oil fields. The camp is starting as a temporary 200 man camp and expandable to well over 1000 permanent.
Most everyone has found that within the Basra region many promises are made but little action is taken. Schwob has changed that mindset. For example, our cement plant fabrication at Halliburton typically takes 8 to 9 months to complete when the client self performs within the US but we started and commissioned in 63 days with ex-pat and Iraqi labor. ExxonMobil requested us to provide a complete fabrication shop with equipment and qualified certified welding crews in three weeks and we succeeded.
